Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Memorial Cricket league phase concludes

SRINAGAR, Aug 26:  League matches under Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Memorial Cricket Tournament 2012 organised by  CRPF concluded on 25 th August 2012.
League Tournament  were organized by various Battalions at various places in North and South Kasmir
During matches organised by 92 BN at cricket ground 92 bn,CRPF, Wadoora,Sopor (J&K) ,Star Eleven Handwara was decleared winner, However Sems cricket club Nowgaon was winner in league organised by 154 bn CRPF.
Dr B N Ramesh  IGP /OPS (KMR), CRPF graced the occasion as Chief Guest and declared closing of the tournament organised by 154 bn at J K police public school,Bemina.
In his speech Dr B N Ramesh  IGP/CRPF assured to all the local youths that CRPF under his leadership will always provide all assistance to the Kashmiri Youths in the form of organizing sports, coaching classes for competitive examinations and medical camps etc.
Winners of various league organised by various CRPF Battalions in North Kasmir will play super league at Baramulla and winners of various league in South Kasmir will play super league at Awantipor. Final matche will be played between winner of both super league.
The objective of this Cricket Tournament is to boost harmony and good relationship between Central Reserve Police Force and Public to develop mutual understanding.
Apart from its entertainment value the Tournament will also inculcate a spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competitive attitude among the students  and participants.
