KATHUA, Oct 18: Kathua District Judo Championship, organized by J&K Judo Association, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association concluded at District Coaching Centre, here today.
About 100 Judokas from different schools participated in the Championship.
Earlier, Shamsher Singh, Manager, DCC Kathua was the chief guest in opening ceremony and Vikas Gupta, general secretary J&K Judo Association and joint secretary Judo Federation of India.
Bouts were officiated by Jugal Kishore, Shakti Gupta, Sandeep Sharma, Sahil Sharma and Jai Karan.
In Sub junior girls 23 kg, Vidushi Verma bagged gold, while Riya Sharma won silver, whileAruna Sharma and Supriya Sharma claimed bronze.
In 35 kg, Arti Devi won gold, Taniya Sharma got silver and Preeti Devi and Swastika bagged bronze, while in 45 kg, Amisha Devi and Arti Sharma won gold and silver medals respectively.
In 50 kg, Smriti Sharma clinched gold, while Samriti Gupta and Lakshmi claimed silver and bronze respectively and in open weight, Anmol Sharma and Rozi Devi claimed gold and silver medal respectively.
In junior girls 45 kg, Renu Bala won gold, Anjali Devi clinched silver, while Aparna Devi and Radha Devi shared bronze medals.
In 50 kg, Shalu Devi clinched gold, while Madhu Sharma won silver and Sanjana Sharma and Alka Kant claimed bronze medals, while open weight, Kajal Sharma won gold, Neha Devi got silver, while Priya Sharma and Arti Choudhary claimed bronze.
In Senior girls open category, Sonia Akhter clinched gold, Anidhi Salgotra claimed silver, while Meenu Kumari and Shabir Thakur clinched bronze medals.
In Sub junior boys 20 kg, Sorab Tak won gold, Dikshit Singh bagged silver and Indu Bushan claimed bronze, while in 25 kg, Ankush Kumar won gold, while Danish Sajad bagged silver and the bronze medal was shared by Nitish Sharma and Samanuay Kumar.
In 30 kg, Surjeet Singh clinched gold, Amit Kumar won silver, while Yogesh Kumar and Sourav claimed bronze.
In open weight category, Rahul Choudhary got gold, Romit Sharma won silver and Sumit Kumar and Rizwan Sajad shared bronze medal.
In Junior boys 35 kg,Laksha Kumar bagged gold, Pankaj Singh claimed silver, while bronze medal was claimed by Harsh Bharti and Rohit Kumar, while 40 kg, Irfan won gold, Jakir bagged silver, while Mohit and Sumit claimed bronze medals.
In 45 kg, Ravinder Singh clinched gold, Aman Kumar won silver, while Sidharth Verma and Pawan Kumar shared bronze, while 50 kg, Anuridh Singh bagged gold, Amandeep Singh won silver and the bronze medal was shared by Tanish Andotra and Pankaj Rajput.
In Sr boys 55 kg,Vishabjeet Singh won gold, Munish Sharma clinched silver, while Vikas Kumar and Abhishek Bhagat shared bronze.
In 60 kg,Alankrit Patyal clinched gold, Sunny Malhotra bagged silver, while Manoj Singh and Rajesh Singh claimed bronze.
In Open weight category, Rajan Sharma, Rahul Singh and Sarwan Sharma claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
