SRINAGAR, Oct 19: The State Level Chess Championship which was organized by All J&K Chess Association concluded at Indoor Stadium, here today.
Teams from all over the State took part in this Championship.
This is the first time that the State Chess Championship was organized by the Association in the Kashmir Division after a gap of 20 years.
Abdul Salam Kanth, Chief Accounts Officer, Sports Council was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners. Balbir Singh, Administrative Officer and Mr Sambyal, Assistant Accounts Officers were the guests of honour, who also accompanied the chief guest during prize distribution function.
The tournament was sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
