JAMMU, Oct 19: Guru Nanak Cricket Club (GNCC) defeated Star Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the 4th Ravi Singh Charak Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Satwari Cantt cricket ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Star Cricket Club scored a decent total of 150 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sahil was the top scorer with 51 runs, while Ajay and Vishal contributed 28 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For GNCC, Shubham Singh Pundir was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 4 important, while Kunal bagged 3 wickets. Anchal and Rahul claimed one wicket each.
In reply, GNCC reached the target by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Suryansh Raina was the top scorer with unbeaten 64 runs, while Surya contributed 36 runs to the total. Rohan Koul, Shubham Singh Pundir and Balbir Singh chipped in with 14, 11 and 9 runs respectively. For Star Club, Vicky Punjabi took 2 wickets and Anil claimed one. Shubham Singh Pundir was adjudged man of the match for his good bowling performance.
The math was officiated by Vijay and Ashish as umpires, while Vishal Singh Charak was the chief guest on the occasion.
