Lawyers Annual Sports Meet re-starts

JAMMU, Oct 21: Lawyers Annual Sports Meet re-started, which was inaugurated by Justice Tashi Rabstan, Senior advocates UK Jalali, D C Raina and Leela Karan Sharma and Advocate D S Chauhan amongst others.
The first match was played between Great Warriors and Dogra XI, in which Great Warriors after winning the toss chose to bat first and scored 84 runs in the quota of 10 overs. Jeetu was the highest scorer with 34 runs, while Mansoor and Ashwani scored 14 runs respectively. Vikram, Bawa and Pawan took 1 wicket each for Dogra XI.
In reply Dogra XI was bundled out for 70 runs. Rahul Sharma was the top scorer with 39 runs and Nitin took 2 wickets, Mansoor and Jeetu took 1 wicket each.
The second match was played between Legal Star XI and Counsel XI, in which Legal Star after winning the toss batted first and scored 127 runs in 10 Overs for the loss of two wickets. Surinder was the highest scorer with 43 runs, whereas Pranav Kohli scrored 36 and A.P. Singh scored 28 runs while Lokesh and Azar took 1 wicket each. In reply Counsel XI were bundled out for 69 runs only. Parvesh took 4 wickets, Sami and Irfan took 2 each and Pranav kohli took 1 wicket.
The third match was played between Fire XI and Striking XI, in which Fire XI after winning the toss batted first and scored 41 runs in the allotted Overs. Ravinder was the highest scorer with 16 runs, whereas Kazmi scored 7 runs while Sahil and Umesh took 2 wickets each. Chasing the target Striking XI scored 43 runs. Raj Kumar Thakur was the highest scorer with 21 runs whereas Kanav scored 12 runs. Ravinder took 1 wicket.
The fourth match was played between Sachin XI & Kings Royal XI, wherein batting first, Sachin XI scored 57 runs, which was chased comfortably by Kings Royal XI with eight wickets in hand.
In the Football tournament, Strikers XI got a walkover from Ultimate warriors. In the second match, The ‘A’ Team scored 5 goals against Dogra XI. Akshay Koul scored three goals, whereas Jhanzeb Hamal and Ravi Dogra scored 1 goal each.
