Navratra Festival culminates with immersion of Saakh

JAMMU, Oct 22: The 10-day long Navratra Festival culminated today with performing of culmination pooja and immersion of Saakh by people in various rivers.
There was a bee line of devotees on the Ranbir Canal, Tawi river near Bikram Chowk and at the bank of river Chenab (Chanderbagha) in Akhnoor as the devotees had reached for immersion of Saakh early in the morning in large numbers.
Besides, the Saakh the idols of Goddess Durga were also immersed in rivers after performing pooja -archna during the Navratra festival. There was huge rush in the temples also with large number of devotees thronging there to participate in pooja -archana.
Besides, Hawans were also performed at various places in connection with culmination of Navratra festival. The hawans started yesterday evening but puranahuti was performed this afternoon followed by serving of Prashad to people.
The 10 day long spiritual activity organized by Bhagawaan Gopinathji Trust culminated today at Bhagawaan Ji’s Udaywala Bohri Ashram.
Hundreds of devotees thronged the Ashram from first Navratra on October 13  to October 22 during the Navratra days.
The devotees participated in the spiritual activity in a spirit of true devotion and humility daily from 4-30 am to 7-30 am during the festival. The Hawan actually started on October 12 evening and Puranahuti was offered today. This was followed with serving of prashad to devotees.
The holy Navratra festival also culminated at Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsang Ashram today. Hundreds of devotees thronged the Ashram daily to take part in the celebrations. Besides, the religious discourses by Swami Ji on the significance of Navratra, Bhajan -Kirtan were held daily. A hawan was also performed in the Ashram and it culminated with Puranahuti which was followed by serving of Prashad to devotees.
Navrata festival celebrations also culminated at Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Chinore and Najab Garh Delhi today.
During the festival period Bhajan Kirtan and other Vedic hymns were recited by the devotees to invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga. The Flag hoisting was also performed in the Ashram by the chairman of Sh. Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Trust.
