NEW DELHI, Oct 23: Odisha-based startup dairy firm Milk Mantra has launched turmeric-flavour milkshake under the brand MooShake and plans to introduce the product in other cities over the next few months.
The six-year old company is also targeting a turnover of Rs 150 crore this fiscal and plans to export MooShake in the near future.
In milkshake category, the company also has four other flavours — almond, chocolate, mango and strawberry.
“Milk Mantra is looking forward to expand the product presence across other cities over the next few months,” the company’s Managing Director and CEO Srikumar Misra said.
The company has already launched turmeric-flavored milkshake in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru. It will be launched in Chennai by end of this year, he said in a statement.
Milk Mantra further said it is targeting a turnover of Rs 150 crore this fiscal. It also plans to export MooShake to the US, the UK and Japan in the near future.
To meet the growing demand, the company said it will increase its processing capacity from the existing one lakh litres per day to 3 lakh litres of milk a day by December.
The company has one processing unit in Konark in Odisha and an extended processing unit near Mumbai.
The turmeric-flavoured milk shake has a shelf life of 180 days and consists of 0.05 per cent pure curcumin, an extract from turmeric that has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties, the company added.
Milk Mantra, which has a large presence in eastern zone, sells milk and other dairy products like paneer. (PTI)
