Govt Order kept in abeyance

JAMMU, Oct 23: In compliance to the judgment dated 22-7-2014, passed by the High Court in SWP no. 459/2014 C/w SWP No. 2542/2013 titled Parvinder Paul Singh and others and Gurmukh Singh Dutt Vs State of J&K and others, the Govt Order No. 215-Edu(Tech) of 2013 dated 6-12-2013, issued under endorsement No. Edu/Tech/Phy/149/2013, dated 6-12-2013 has been kept in abeyance.
This order affects 10 employees of the Department, who were benefited by it by getting promotions to the post of District Youth Services and Sports Officers or equivalent Cadre two years back.
The employees who have been affected include Balbir Singh, who was holding the post of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Srinagar; Sunil Singh, DYSSO Poonch; Altaf, DYSSO Pulwama; Rupinderjeet Kour, I/c Assistant Director Deputy Director Office Jammu; Indira Khushoo, DIET Reasi; Shafiq Pir, DYSSO Shopian; Manjeet Singh, AD Kashmir; Swaran Singh, DYSSO Anantnag; Surinder Singh, DYSSO Kulgam and Mohd Hussain, DYSSO Kargil.
The Lecturers Forum and the Zonal Physical Education Officers of the Department have termed the Order historic and hoped for betterment of the Department, under the patronage of the Minister for Sports, Imran Raza Ansari, Commissioner Secretary, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Hirdesh Kumar and DG Sports, Jehangir Lone.
