JAMMU, Aug 27: BL Morodia, Assistant Commissioner KVS Jammu Region inaugurated the 43rd Regional Sports Meet in an impressive opening ceremony, here today.
The other dignitaries who accompanied the chief guest included RK Bharti, Principal KV Damana and GD Singh.
The programme with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest which was followed by the cultural items.
Earlier, the Principal M Laxmi Narayana presented the welcome address, while Kamini Mishra, Vice Principal presented vote of thanks.
The events of Regional Sports Meet to be organized at KV No. 2, Jammu include basketball, lawan tennis, skating and chess.
According to a handout issued here 223 students from 18 Kendriya Vidyalaya of Jammu Region are taking part in this sports extravaganza.
Meanwhile, Regional KV basketball and table tennis meet commenced at KV No. 1 Udhampur, which was inaugurated by Dr Nutun Rasotra, Principal, GDC Udhampur in a well attended function, while the 43rd Regional Sports Meet in the disciplines of skating and chess (boys) was inaugurated by AS Gill Officiating Deputy Commissioner KVS Jammu.
