JAMMU, Oct 29: SOS Hermann Gmeiner School held its Annual Sports Day, 2015 in the School premises, here today.
Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal R K Dhar presented welcome address.
After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, children displayed some cultural items.
The chief guest and the Principal lit the ‘mashaal’ and declared the events open which included 25mtrs, 100mtrs, 400 mtrs, 800 mtrs races, long jump, high jump shotput and discus throw.
The students enthralled the audience with their talent.
The chief guest gave away certificates and medals to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the sporting talent of students and urged them to take part in sports and games to build their overall personality.
S K Wali, Coordinator of the event presented the vote of thanks. The Event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. The event was coordinated by Mr Wali and Sunita Raina.
