POONCH, Oct 29: Surankote, Khalsa (A), PP (B) and Islamia School scripted convincing victories in the ongoing Football Tournament, being organized by 93 Inf Birigade in connection with Army Linkup Day Celebration at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, PP (B) defeated Chandak Club by four goals to one (4-1), Islamia School drubbed City Star by two goals to nil (2-0), Khalsa (A) thrashed Singh Club by seven goals to nil (7-0) and Surunkote drubbed PP ( B) by two goals to one (2-1)
DFO Poonch, Sayeed Nadeem was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sham Lal Sharma, retired SAI hockey coach, Nirdosh Kumar In-charge Sports Stadium Poonch, Vijay Kumar and Ravinder Singh were present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Jatinder Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Tarlochan Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Davinder Sharma, Amit Singh and Abdul Rashid.
