Mandeep to lock horns with Rohit in Jr Snooker final

JAMMU, Nov 4: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals today, Mandeep Singh and Rohit Chib entered into the finals of the Junior Snooker, while Sharan Singh and Shubhneer Sharma registered wins over their rivals in the Senior Snooker of the ongoing 23rd Jammu District Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Mandeep defeated Kanav Manwa (3-0) by (52-32, 41-8, 54-19), while in another semifinal, Rohit outplayed Vipan Malhi (3-0) by (54-37, 55-54, 48-22). Now, Mandeep will take on Rohit in the summit clash.
In the first round of Senior Snooker which got underway today, Sharan Singh defeated Rohit (3-0) by (88-44, 56-38, 64-23), while Shubhneer Sharma got better of Jaswinder Singh (3-0) by (43-30, 73-39, 58-31).
The matches are being held under the supervision of organizing committee including Sohail Khalid, Jaideep Manocha and Gurjeev Singh, while Rakesh Sharma is the marker.
President JKBSA, Sanjeev Gupta was also present in today’s proceedings.
