Suryansh misses ton, Haziq scores unbeaten 88 as J&K sets 182-run target

JAMMU, Nov 7: Suryansh Raina missed a well deserving century, scoring brilliant 97 runs, while Mohammad Haziq Bhat scored unbeaten 88 runs as J&K set a target of 282 runs for Hyderabad in the match of Cooch Behar Under-19 Boys Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Chasing the decent target, Hyderabad were 60/2 at the draw of stumps on day-3 today.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight total of 122 for no loss, J&K lost Nipun Verma at his overnight score of 40 runs, while another opener Suryansh Raina scored magnificent 97 runs, studded with 19 boundaries. However, the performer of the day was Mohammad Haziq Bhat, who scored superb unbeaten 88 runs, with the help of 12 boundaries. He struck the ball with fluidity and grace. J&K managed to score 304 runs to set a target of 282 runs. For Hyderabad, Pabba Nilesh took 4 wickets, while Nithesh Reddy scalped 3 wickets and Rajamani Prasad claimed one.
In reply, Hyderabad were 60/2 with Mickil Jaiswal and HK Simha batting on 5 and 8 runs respectively. Both the openers Nithesh Reddy and Abhirath Reddy were back to the pavilion for 21 and 22 runs respectively. For J&K, Momin Mansoor and Abid Mushtaq took one wicket each.
