JAMMU, Nov 7: The Army organized an ‘Inter School Girls and Boys Volleyball Competition’ for students of local schools of Khour which concluded today.
Teams from 6 Girls and 8 Boys schools from Khour Tehsil participated in the five day tournament conducted at Govt High School, Hamirpur Sidhar.
The competition was extremely successful in instilling keenness for sports amongst the girls and boys of border area schools. Pawan Kumar Choudhary, Headmaster, Govt High School, Hamirpur Sidhar conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Army authorities for providing the children with this opportunity. At the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest expressed his gratitude to the teachers, Sarpanches and all the students for making this event a grand success and assured that more such events will be organized in future for instilling sportsman spirit amongst the students.
