JAMMU, Nov 9: MV International School clinches overall trophy in the Open State Speedball Championship, organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association at MA Stadium, here.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest on the occasion, while Navin Aggarwal and Smita Sethi, Director School Education were special guests.
Rakesh Gupta, president Chamber of Commerce, School Principals namely Ruchi Chabbra, Neeru Puri, Dishit Sharma, Sanjeev Padha, Usha Jamwal, Gourav Charak, KCS Mehta, Ravi Khajuria and Madhu Sharma were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta highlighted the Importance of Games and Sports.
Smita Sethi lauded the efforts of the J&K Sports Speedball Association for organizing this mega event.
A prize distribution function was held on the occasion, wherein the chief guest gave away prizes to the winners and runners- up players.
The office bearers of the Association, Pooja Malhotra, Rakesh Sharma,Vijay Gupta, SP Langer, VK Sharma, Suram Singh, Anil Nanda, KCS Mehta, Gourav Abrol, Vinod Gupta, Nitish Mahajan, Ravi Tikku, Pawan Kumar, Dr PS Raina, Sevita Sethi, Renu Bala, Devinder Kour, Jyoti Gupta and Ashutosh Gupta were also present on the occasion.
The champion of the year mixed doubles team award cash prize went to Master Suyarnsh (MHAC Nagbani) and Sungandh Mehta (Tiny Tots Hrs School ). Master Pratham Thappa (MVIS) and Mansi Slathia (MVIS) also received a cash prize and champion of the year boys doubles team award Master Gurmanjeet Singh (SDTPS) and Rohit Sagar (Govt HS Chatha).
Under-6yrs gold medalist included Suksham (L.M.P.S), Sanna Sharma (L.M.P.S), Karmanjeet Kour (L.M.P.S), Pranay (N.S.C), Hasrath (N.S.C), Saranshi (L.M.P.S), Vaishnavi (LMPS), Adidev (NSC), Ritish (S.N.G.N), Lalit (L.M.P.S), Shivi Sharma (L.M.P.S), Sharya Sharma (L.M.P.S) , Tejasvi Gupta ( L.M.P.S), Tanishka Dogra (L.M.P.S), Arav (D.P.S) and Anirudh (L.M.P.S).
