Srinagar, Nov 15: Chairman of Hardline faction of Hurriyat, Syed Ali Geelani today accused Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led Coalition Government of political vengeance, claiming they are planning to slap Public Safety Act (PSA) on its leaders.
In a statement, the hardline separatist amalgam claimed that it has learned that to “avenge the announcement of Million March programme”, the State administration and Government are planning to book many of HC leaders and activists particularly Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Mehraj-ud-Din, Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid, Bashir Ahmad Qurashi, Abdul Gani Bhat, Rayees Ahmad Mir, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Pandith, Nisar Ahmad Palhallan, Hafiz Abdul Ahad under the PSA and detain them in jails for long period.
Terming the proposal as “political vengeance”, Geelani said: “Mufti is actually trying to appease his RSS masters in Nagpur so that he can be reckoned as a loyal employee and he can reap the best benefits of his loyalty and for that purpose he can go to any extent.”
Geelani said that Mufti wants to transfer the power to his next generation which can’t be possible without the blessings of RSS and Sangh Parivar.
