PCC flays Govt on newly framed Tourism Advisory Board

SRINAGAR, Nov 16:  Criticizing State Govt for constituting Tourism Advisory Board without taking onboard various stakeholders and experts, whose presence in the Advisory Board was must for overall development and promotion of tourism industry in the State, Pradesh Congress Committee chief GA Mir  stated that State Govt is undermining the development and promotion of Tourism Industry due to its wrong policies.
PCC chief lamented the fact that there were many shortcomings in the Advisory Board so constituted by the Govt, for the fact that various stakeholders who can play an effective role about promotion and overall development of Industry in the State have been left out, for the reasons known to Govt, he said.
Mr Mir who has earlier held portfolio of  Tourism Ministry, felt apprehensive about the functioning of newly constituted Tourism Advisory Board and said that the Board won’t deliver as the various stakeholders and experts with a vast knowledge on the subject have been sidelined completely.
Describing  the newly constituted Board as inept, PCC chief said that the Board so constituted won’t be able to address issues confronting Tourism Industry and the people connected with it.      PCC chief castigated State Govt for not being serious about the promotion of Tourism Industry in the State.
