5 bovine smugglers held, 30 animals seized

RAJOURI, Nov 18: The police arrested five bovine smugglers and rescued 30 milch animals while being transported to Kashmir via Mughal Road during last night.
Official sources said that Rajouri police led by I/C PP Chingus, SI Danish Dar under the supervision of SHO P/S Rajouri Inspr Chaman Gorkha on the directions of SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh, laid naka on the highway during last night and seized a TATA Mobile bearing registration No. JK11A-0485 and rescued eight bovine animals.
The vehicle was on its way from Chingus to Srinagar via Rajouri-Thanamandi-Mughal Road with smuggled bovines. The two smugglers escaped from the spot.
A case FIR No.579/2015, U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at Police Station Rajouri in this connection.
Another police party led by SHO Rajouri during naka on the outskirts of the town rescued 10 bovine animals which were on way from Chingus to Srinagar via Rajouri-Thanamandi-Mughal Road. Police also arrested two bovine smugglers namely, Mohd Rafiq, son of Abdul and Mohd Rafiq-II, son of Mohd Shafi from Palma.
Meanwhile, Incharge PP Teryath, Ravinder Kumar under the supervision of SHO P/S Dharamsal Inspr Mohd Bashir , during checking last night seized two TATA Mobile vehicles bearing registration Nos. JK11-7590 and JK20-8019, and rescued six bovine animals which were on way from Teryath to Budhal-Kandi via Targai-Shopian (Srinagar). Two arrested smugglers are Bhuri Lal, son of Om Parkesh from R/O Jajote Pouni and Charan Dass, son of Bansi Lal from Malard, Pouni in Reasi.
Police party led by I/C PP Peeri, SI Abdul Majid under the supervision of SHO P/S Kandi SI Jhangir Ahmed, during naka last night at Peeri, rescued six bovine animals and arrested one person. He has been identified as Mohd Nazir, son of Mohd Din resident of Gabber in Budhal. A case FIR No. 89/2015, U/S 188 RPC, 3PCA Act have been registered at P/S Kandi in this connection.
