UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Rakesh Gupta has been elected as BJP district president of Udhampur.
His election was made during monthly meeting at BJP office, here today, under the leadership of MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia, who is election incharge for Udhampur district.
MLA Chenani Dina Nath Bhagat, MLA Ramnagar, R S Pathania senior leader Som Raj Khajuria and State Secretary Pawan Khajuria were also present in the meeting.
All the Mandal presidents and district delegates unanimously proposed the name of Rakesh Gupta for the post of district president. Following this, Rajiv Jasrotia announced the name of Rakesh Gupta as district president.
Three members also nominated Naresh Bhagat, Krishen Lal Sharma and Amit Sharma to the State Council for Chenani, Udhampur and Ramnagar Assembly segments, respectively.
