JAMMU, Aug 30: Defeating the formidable side of RS Pura zone by two sets to one (2-1) in the summit clash, Bhalwal zone clinched the Under-19 girls volleyball title in the ongoing Jammu District Inter-Zonal Tournaments in the disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi and volleyball, Under-19 girls, which concluded at Government Higher Secondary School, Domana, here.
The kabaddi Under-19 girls title went to RS Pura zone, defeating Akhnoor by 8 points (28-20), while in kho-kho Under-19 girls, Akhnoor zone scripted a narrow win by one point in a an exciting context.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu.
The 4-day tournament had commenced on August 27 and witnessed a record number of participation.
