RAMBAN, Aug 30: 3-day trekking expedition organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Ramban, was flagged off by Ashok Kumar, MLA Ramban in a simple but well attended function at Government Higher Secondary School Batote, here today.
Dewan Chand, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Ramban and Mohd Hussain Wani were also present on the occasion.
Beginning from Batote the trekkers will trek via Swani, Dalwas and Sanasar and finally the expedition will culminate on the third day at Patnitop.
“The trekkers will have an aesthetic enjoyment of the mountains and slopes, besides having feel of street sense of the picturesque areas,” said Dewan Chand.
Principal HSS Batote, Zonal Education Officer Batote and Zonal Physical Education Officer Batote were also present on the occasion.
