DODA, Aug 30: Omkar Singh of Jammu thrashed Mushtaq Ahmed of Bani in the final bout of the Indian free style Wrestling competition held at village Thalela of the district.
In the first semis, Mushtaq Ahmed of Bani trounced Akram of Jammu, while in the second semifinal Omkar Singh of Jammu emerged victorious by defeating Farooq Ahmed of Jammu.
Earlier, the competition was inaugurated by Colonel Varinder Singh, 159Bn TA Thalela, who was the chief guest, in presence of Duni Chand Bhagat, Sarpanch, Halqa Thalela, Sub Major JK Bhardwaj, Sub Mohd Hanief, Vakil Singh Manhas, Sher Singh, Ali Shah, Raj Kumar, Jaffer Hussain, Rajesh Manhas, Shahnawaz and local populace.
In the competition, about 120 Wrestlers from Jammu, Kathua, Bhalessa, Marmat, Bhaderwah, Siraj and Chiralla participated.
A total of 52 Bouts were conducted and officiated by Kishori Lal Thakur, PEM, Mohd Hafiz and Mohd Rafi.
