JAMMU, Nov 24: One person was killed, while two others got seriously injured, when the Maruti car they were traveling in rammed into a tree at Kotmehran in Pallanwallan area of tehsil Akhnoor.
As per police sources, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02AW-5084 collided with a tree at Kotmehran in Pallanwallan area of tehsil Akhnoor late last night, resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to two others.
After getting information, police rushedto the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor and later Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
The body of the deceased identified as Raj Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Jourian was handed over to family members after conducting autopsy at SDH Akhnoor.
The injured have been identified as Anup Singh, son of Baldev Singh and Lakhan, son of Kulbir Singh, both residents of Maan Chak.
A case has been registered in this regard at Pallanwala police post and investigations started.
