IEDs, other explosives seized

JAMMU, Nov 24: Army, SOG and Poonch police today recovered a major consignment of explosives from Dungi Cheed forests in Mangnar area of Poonch district.
Official reports said a joint team of 39 Rashtriya Rifles, Special operations Group (SOG) and Poonch police conducted operation at Dungi Cheed forests this morning after developing specific information about dump of explosives and ammunition.
Recoveries made from the spot included three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), one weighing 10 kg, another, 1.5 kg and third half kg, 113 AK rounds, two AK magazines, 41 Pika rounds, one Chinese grenade, two Chinese mobile grenades, one SIM, Pathani suit and belongings of the militants.
Reports said recoveries of powerful IEDs have foiled the suspected terror plot.
Police was investigating the case.
