GDC Baramulla scripts thrilling win to enter semis

SRINAGAR, Nov 26: In the on-going 10th Prof Yousuf Memorial Cricket Cup 2015, being played at Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar, Govt Degree College Baramulla defeated Government Degree College Pattan in a thrilling contest by 1 run.
GDC Pattan won the toss and elected to field first, GDC Baramulla scored 123 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Liyaqat contributed 54 runs in 46 deliveries and Umer scored 26 runs in 21 deliveries. For Govt. Degree College Pattan, Shabir took 3 wickets and Aamir claimed 1 wicket.
Chasing a target of 124 runs, Govt. Degree College Pattan managed to score 122 runs in 19.5 overs. Muneer top scored with 42 runs and Bilal contributed 22 runs. For Govt. Degree College College Baramulla, Jehangir took 4 wickets and Umer claimed 2 wickets.
Liyaqat of GDC Baramulla was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
The Tournament is being organized by the Department of Physical Education, Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar, in the memory of Ex-Principal, Prof Mohammad Yousuf of the College.
