JAMMU, Aug 30: In a petition seeking de-reservation of wards reserved for women, State High Court today directed the respondents to consider the de-reservation of Ward No. 44 in accordance with the mandate of Section 10-A.
After hearing Advocate B S Jamwal for the petitioner, Justice Hasnain Massodi directed the respondents to accord consideration to the petitioner’s plea for de-reservation of Ward No. 44 of Jammu Municipal Corporation so that the petitioner would be in a position to contest election from there.
