JAMMU, Nov 30: J&K Sports Taekwondo Association organized Inter-School Taekwondo Championship 2015 at Sai Palace Trikuta Nagar, here today.
A total of 250 students from various schools of Jammu province participated in the Championship.
Students of DRS Kids Trikuta Nagar, The Roots Montessorie House, Aglow Kids, DRS Kids Talab tillo, Apple Kids Sainik Colony, Lord Mahavira Playway School, Kids Planets, DRS Kids Janipur, DRS Kids Basant Vihar School and DPS School were awarded.
Out of 250 students, 130 students won the medals.
Chief Technical Director Taekwondo, Anil Nanda organized the Championship.  On the occasion, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K Assembly was the chief guest, while VK Gupta, retired Executive Engineer and Tanvi Gupta were the guests of honour.  SP Langer, Board Member (JKSBA) and VK Sharma, retired Excise Commissioner were the special guests.
Members of the Association, Ronika Nanda, Rashmeet Kour, Rajni Sharma, Sahil Janjua, Rhea Tiku, Amit Kour, Manpreet Kour and Simran Slathia were also present on the occasion.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed medals and certificates among the students who qualified for the Championship.
Anil Nanda, while addressing the gathering said that the students who won the gold medal in the championship would be provided an opportunity to participate in the National Taekwondo Championship to be held in Gujarat in the year 2016.
