JAMMU, Sept 3: ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shivalik Branch, Channi Himmat organised “Guru Vandana Chhatra Abhinandan Programme” to enhance the student-teacher relation.
While speaking, Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator of the School, highlighted the importance of such programmes. He said that students must be given moral values through such programmes and they must learn to obey their teachers and parents.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof DR Kotwal, president, J&K Bharat Vikas Parishad, highlighted the importance of Guru Vandana as per Gurukuls in the history and gave the symbolic representations of the same.
Among others who spoke were Dr RP Gandotra, organising secretary, KR Gupta, president, Shivalik Branch, RK Gupta, executive member, JC Abrol, SK Sharma and members of the Parishad.
During the programme, various students namely Amreek Singh of 12th Class, Rohit Pandita of 11th Class, Diksha Ganjoo of 10th Class, Chirag Arora of 9th Class, Ravi Kumar of 8th Class, Kiran Thakur of 7th Class and Shikha Thakur of 6th Class were awarded for their outstanding performance in the school during the programme.
At the end, Shiv Charan Dass, Vice-Principal of the School, presented vote of thanks.
