Inter-School Cricket Tournament concludes

JAMMU, Dec 8: Inter School Cricket Tournament, organized by Col R N Chopra Cricket Academy, under the supervision of Sukomal Ganguly, chief coach of the Academy concluded at the Academy ground, here today.
The participating teams included Heritage School, Jodhamal School, GD Goenka School, Delhi Public School and some teams from other schools.  G D Goenka and DPS entered the final.
In final, DPS won the match by 88 runs. DPS won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 269 runs in 25 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. For DPS, Musaif scored unbeaten 105 runs, while Ayush Slathia made valuable 54 runs. Raj Pratap Singh and Satyabrat contributed 37 and 36 runs to the total respectively. For Goenka, Tanish Mehta took 2 wickets.
In reply, Goenka School made 170 runs in 25 overs, thus lost the match by 98 runs. Harshdev Singh and Ayam Sharma scored 29 and 46 runs respectively. For DPS, Ayush, Sanath and Anmol took 2 wickets each. Man of the match and best batsman award was given to Musaif Ajaz and best bowler award went to Sanath Anand of DPS. Best fielder was awarded to Ayam of G D Goenka. Man of the tournament was given to Ayush Slathia of DPS.
The matches were officiated by coaches of the Academy Deepak Dogra and Akash Manhas, under the supervision of Sukomal Ganguly.
