CRPF constructs Badminton court in Budgam

Srinagar, Dec 12: Authorities today inaugurated a Badminton court constructed by 43 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Government Higher Secondary School in Panzan village of Chadoora area of Budgam district.
A spokesman of the CRPF said the court is first of its kind which is constructed under Civic Action Programme by the Force in the district and has been purposefully designed to facilitate the sports activities among students.
While appreciating the efforts made by CRPF in providing infrastructural support for sports in the district and voicing his opinion on the occasion, the school principal Neelofar Mir said: “such goodwill gesture by CRPF will certainly give impetus to better police-public relations in the area and will surely nurture the sporting abilities of school children.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, the Commandant of the battalion Manoj Kumar Gupta, shared the noble ideals and efforts of CRPF in encouraging youths of Kashmir towards sports.
“As many as 300 local residents of the area had gathered on the occasion to witness the program and gratefully recognized the initiative of CRPF in their area,” the spokesman added.
