Singh CC Akhnoor, Cantt CC seal berth in final

JAMMU, Dec 14: Beating their rivals in the semifinals, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor and Cantt Cricket Club Satwari qualified for the finals of the ongoing 7th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
In the first semifinal, Cantt Club Satwari defeated Rainawari Cricekt Club Srinagar in a thrilling contest by 1 wicket. Batting first RCC Srinagar scored a decent total of 189 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Satish Kumar top scored with 84 runs off 44 balls, while Shubham Singh Pundir scored 80 off 51 balls. Puneet Wattal chipped in with 15 runs. For Cantt Club, Pranav Mahajan and Inderjeet took one wicket each.
In reply, Cantt won the match on the last ball by losing 9 wickets. Jatin top scored with 77 runs, while Inderjeet contributed 57 runs the total. For RCC, Satish took 3 wickets, while Sourav Chopra claimed 2 wickets.
In another semifinal, Singh Club Akhnoor crushed LFS Akhnoor by a big margin of 227 runs.
Batting first, SCC scored a mammoth total of 280 runs, while in reply, LFS bundled out for a paltry total of 53 runs, thus lost the match by a huge margin. Sunil Govil scored unbeaten 125 runs, while Sunny Mahi scored brilliant 92 runs for Singh Club.
