SRINAGAR, Sept 4: A group of lawyers today severely beat up a policeman for allegedly eve teasing in district court complex.
A group of 4 lawyers entered the guard room of the policeman guarding the court complex at district Anantnag and beat him severely after a woman lawyer alleged eve teasing by the cop. But the cop refuted the allegation.
Lawyers alleged that a female lawyer had lodged a complaint with the Chief Judicial Magistrate Anantnag about the eve teasing by a policeman guarding court complex. On hearing about the incident the lawyers beat the police severely. He was admitted to District Hospital Anatnag for treatment as he has received multiple injuries.
Police have registered a case against the lawyers for beating the police man and are investigating the matter.
