BGSB University Foundation Day celebrated

JAMMU, Dec 16: BGSB University celebrated its 12th Foundation Day with great fervour and excitement, here.
In this connection, the Centre for Biodiversity Studies (CBS) arranged various events.
All the students, research scholars and teaching and non-teaching staff of the Centre participated and actively contributed on this commemorative occasion.
These events included two symposia – one on “Science and Humanity” and the other on “Women empowerment”, a Quiz Competition, a theme-based Poster Competition, Bioresource-based Handicrafts Exhibition, and a visit to the Lead Botanic Garden as a Nature Trail exercise. The students of A to Z High School were also invited to participate in the INSPIRE Science Programme.
A lecture was delivered by Professor G. H. Dar, Dean School of Biosciences and Biotechnology.  He acquainted the students about the development and progress the University has made in a very a short span of about one decade
On this occasion Professor Javed Massarat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, delivered a lecture on “Nanotechnology to Nanotoxicology: A Paradigm Shift”. He deliberated upon the scope of Nanotechnology and its need in times to come.
