SRINAGAR, Dec 16: Commissioner Commercial Taxes Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the performance of Commercial Taxes Department in Kashmir Division.
Dr. Shamim Ahmad, Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes Kashmir informed that the Department has realized revenue of Rs. 787.41 crore for the period ending October 2015 and highlighted that the Department Kashmir Division has achieved an increase of Rs 156.18 crores thereby registering a growth rate of 25%) approximately.
The Additional Commissioner also highlighted that there is an increase of Rs. 55.48 crore and Rs. 1.14 crore under VAT, GST and CSI’ thus registering a growth of 29.52%, 18.97% and 76.76% respectively. The Additional Commissioner assured the Commissioner that the Department will leave no stone unturned in achieving the targets fixed by the Government.
The Commissioner directed the Commercial Taxes Officers of Kashmir Division to complete the assessments, tax audits and settle the audit paras within the prescribed time frame.
