3 students of private school injured in road mishap

KATHUA, Dec 17: Three students of a private school were injured when a matador in which they were traveling rolled down in Ravi Canal, near Dhanni Bakhta, Rajbagh, falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station, today.
According to the police sources, three school children of private school were injured when their matador rolled down in Ravi Canal as the driver of matador bearing registration number JK08A-4746 tried to avert  a head on collision with the another vehicle coming from opposite direction. But he lost the control on steering with the result matador rolled down  in the Ravi Canal. To the good luck of the students and other inmates of the vehicle there was no water in the canal and a major tragedy was averted.
On getting information, locals of the area including police team from Rajbagh Police Station rushed to the spot and rescued the occupants of the matador and shifted them to Kathua District Hospital.
The injured were discharged from the hospital after getting treatment. Meanwhile, Rajbagh Police has registered the case under relevant Sections for further action.
