Lal Singh convenes grievances redressal camp

KATHUA, Dec 18: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch. Lal Singh today visited Community Health Centre Basohli and inspected ongoing construction works on the staff residential quarters.
The Minister instructed expeditious completion of the project along with maintaining quality standards during construction.
Ch Lal Singh also visited the land identified for park adjoining the CHC building. The Minister said 70 kanal land will be developed as park where pine and other ornamental plants will be planted.
Meanwhile, the Minister also visited village Purthu, identified as base point for water sports in Ranjit Sagar Dam, Basohli. The Minister accompanied by team from Essel World headed by co-founder Essel group Pawan Kumar visited the point and discussed in detail the project work. He disclosed that estimated Rs 500 crore water sports and tourist amenities project has been submitted for approval. He directed SDM Basohli, Gurmukh Singh to submit the detail report of the land to be acquired for the project.
Later, Ch. Lal Singh convened a Public Grievance and Redressal Camp at PWD Rest House in Basohli. He passed directions to the officers to redress the grievances of the public on priority.
While highlighting the development works taken up in the tehsil, the Minister said Rs 40 lakh Banji-Sananghat bridge over hut nallah has been sanctioned besides tenders of Basohli-Dhar Mahanpur and Lakhanpur -Basholi roads have been floated and work on the projects is expected to commence shortly.
Later, the Heath Minister also visited the site of 592 m cable stayed bridge over Ravi River. He said with the commissioning of the bridge and water sports in Ranjit Sagar dam the avenues of employment will be opened in the area which will immensely help the local population.
