Govt committed to provide basic amenities to people: Priya

JAMMU, Dec 18: Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture, Priya Sethi today convened a public grievances redressal camp at BJP headquarter here today.
During the public grievances redressal camp, the people of Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua, Udhampur, Doda of Jammu region besides the people from Kashmir valley apprised the Minister about their problems related to road connectivity, electricity, ration, drinking water, filling of vacant posts of teacher in remote and far-off areas, etc.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the grievances of the people and assured them that their problems will be taken up at suitable forum for early redressal.
The Minister said that the Coalition Government in the State is fully committed to extend basic amenities to the people at their doorstep. The Government is implementing various schemes for the welfare of the people and to ensure that the poor and downtrodden sections of the society enjoy a better life, she added.
She said many developmental works and schemes for the overall development of the State are in pipeline which would cater to the basic requirements of the public.
