JAMMU, Dec 19: All India Students Federation (AISF) J&K State Council remembered Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan, Roshan Singh and Ramparsad Bismil on their 88th Martyr’s Day as National Unity Day. These legends were hanged to death on same day by the Britishers.
The programme was organized at Comrade Dhanwantri Bhawan AISF State headquarters in Jammu under the leadership of Mukesh Parihar, State President, AISF.
The programme started with the paying tributes by all members to these martyrs followed by welcome speech of Sanjay Kotwal.
Mukesh Parihar said these days our country is suffering from Communal tension and religious intolerance is growing continuously so it is the need of the society to get inspiration from these legends to make society better.
“We need to improve education system so that everyone can realize the value of individual”, he stated.
He further quoted the friendship of Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan and Shaheed Ram Parsad Bismil, who were the friends forever in their whole life and never fought on the basis of Religion.
Among others present were State Council Members Koshal Sharma and Manish Chandail, District President AISF Jammu Ranbir Bandral, Ravish Chandail, Tania Jamwal, Ridham Bharti etc.
This day was also observed at Doda, Udhampur, Bhad-erwah and Kathua.
