Bethel Trust Football Club lifts 4th Christmas Soccer Championship title

JAMMU, Dec 20:  Bethel Trust Football Club scripted (3-2) win via tie-breaker over Spring Dales Football Club and lifted the title trophy of the 4th Christmas Soccer Championship at Science College Football Ground, here today.
The football tournament in which 12 teams participated was organized by Christian Sports Organization J&K in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.
From Bethel Trust, Sahil, Adonis and Danny scored the goals, while from the Spring Dales Football Club, Ishan and Amit cleared the plenty kicks. Adonis of Bethel Trust was declared as best player of the tournament.
IGP Jammu Danish Rana was chief guest on the valedictory function, while Fr Kuriakose  and Ranjeet Kalra, vice chairman J&K State Sports Council Jammu was the guest of honour. Hilal Rather, MD Simula Sports Club, Palki Anand, Manager South Indian Bank and Vikas Sharma, Manager Federal Bank Jammu were the special guests.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were RP Singh, Rajesh Dhar, Ramesh Chander, Inspector Ranjeet Singh, Gagan, Jacob Gill, Samuel Bhatti, Cornilius Gill, Daniel Sotra, Victor Sotra, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Ranjeet Singh, Gagan, Sunny Gill, Nitu Khokher, Naveen Mooman and Sandeep Manchanda .
The sponsor of the tournament were South Indian Bank Jammu, Federal Bank Jammu  and Canara Bank Jammu. The referees of the match were Harneel Singh, Altaf Ahmad, Ranjay Kumar, Mohinder and Kamal.
In his address, IGP Jammu while lavishing praise on the organizers for conducting the event smoothly and successfully on the occasion of Christmas, said that sports and games are the best ways to help the youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Fr. Kuriakose Chairman of Christian Sports Organization in his address said that the Christian Sports Organization is regularly conducting different Sports events and  Drug awareness camps  in collaboration with J&K Police Department.
Earlier, Rajesh Gill, president Christian Sports Organization Jammu inaugurated the final match and were also introduced with the players of the finalists teams.
The proceedings of the programme were beautifully conducted by renowned anchor RP Singh.
