JAMMU, Dec 20: Displaying courage and daring, a brave boy hailing from Gandhi Nagar saved the lives of three accident victims including a seven-year-old girl, yesterday.
As per reports, an accident took place yesterday at Sidhra, in which a motorcyclist was hit by a Swift car, resulting into injuries to three persons including a seven-year-old girl riding on the bike.
After the accident, the people gathered on the spot and started clicking photographs and making videos of the accident, but no one mustered courage to shift the injured persons to Hospital, an eye witness said.
One brave boy Dhairya Khajuria, a resident of Gandhi Nagar rushed the profusely bleeding accident victims including a 7-year-old girl to Batra Hospital in his car and saved their lives, he added.
After getting information, police also reached the Batra Hospital and appreciated the efforts of Dhairya Khajuria for his courage and bravery. The efforts of the youth were also appreciated by the doctors and staff of Batra Hospital.
Later, the accident victims were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in today.
Talking to the EXCELSIOR, Dhairya Khajuria urged the people to extend all possible help on humanitarian ground to save the lives of the accident victims.
“I will continue to extend help to the needy victims in future also. If I could save even a single life, I think it will be my lifetime achievement”, Khajuria added.
