BHADERWAH, Dec 20: A driver was killed, when the Alto car he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into Neeru river near Dradu area.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK01J-1020 was on its way to Doda from Bhaderwah, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into Neeru nallah near Dradu area this morning, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of the driver.
The body was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Bhaderwah, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
The deceased has been identified as Usman Nazir Gattu, son of Nazir Gattu, a resident of Gattu Mohallah, district Doda.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
