SAMBA, Dec 20: Two persons died while two others were injured in two separate accidents in Samba district since late last night.
According to police, one person died after at Bari Brahmna near PNB late last night when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. He was approximately of 25 to 26 years of age. The vehicle fled after accident. The dead body was shifted by Bari Brahmana Police to GMC for postmortem and identification, police added.
In another accident Sandh Bhari Jatwa National Highway a car bearing registration number JK 02 Q6886 which was on its way from Kathua to Jammu collided with a truck bearing number JK02AC 0181 resulting into the serious injuries to three inmates of car.
They were identified as Veena Mangotra, 60, wife of Vinod Kohli of Bakshi Nagar Jammu, Vijay Verma 30, son of Parkash Verma and Sanjeev Verma 36, son of Parkash Verma of Shastri Nagar Jammu. They were shifted to D H Samba where doctors declared Veena Mangotra as brought dead. While the other two are undergoing treatment.
