BANGALORE, Dec 21: On the second day of 22nd National Forest Sports games which are currently underway at Bangalore, four teams of J&K Forest namely; Cricket, Football, Billiards and Snookers have won their matches and entered in the finals to be played tomorrow.
In Cricket match J&K Forests defeated Karnataka with good margin, while as in football match it defeated Chhattisgarh by a margin of 4-0 goals. Similarly, in the Billiards, the J&K defeated MP with handsome margin, while as in Snooker the game was totally dominated by the J&K Forests and made to the finals.
To encourage the players of J&K Forest Department, Minister for Forests, Ecology & Environment, Bali Bhagat, Principal Secretary Forests, Rakesh Gupta and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, A K Singh have also gone to Bangalore to witness the event. Mr Gupta and Mr Singh joined the opening ceremony of the games on December 19; whileas the Minister joined the event on Monday evening as a chief guest and witnessed the games keenly.
This 4-day prestigious National event was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Forests, Prakash Javdekar at Kantiveera Stadium in Bangalore.
