RAJOURI, Dec 22: The residents of Taryath and Mogla in Kalakote today held protest demonstration and also observed bandh in protest against the sacrilegious act by some anti-social elements.
The people from one community observed complete shut down and also disrupted movement of traffic as the police failed to arrest any person for allegedly killing a bovine animal two days back at Malyara village. The people were demanding arrest of the accused involved in the sacrilegious act. Even at Mogla, the people shut their shops to lodge their protest.
Later, SHO Kalakote moved to the area and assured the agitating people that an FIR has been registered and two persons are also arrested in this connection. Both are said to be the brothers. The people then opened the market after three hours and also allowed movement of traffic on the road.
