Srinagar, Dec 22: Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre under the aegis of Chinar Corps organised a blood donation camp at their Campus Rangreth here on today.
Nearly 50 Army personnel from the Regimental Centre donated blood on the occasion. The blood units collected were provided to LD Hospital of Srinagar. Senior officials of Public Health Department present during the event mentioned that the blood will meet the urgent surgical requirement at the Hospital.
Colonel A A Bapat, Officiating Commandant, JAKLI Regimental Centre inaugurated the camp. The blood donation camp was organised with a view to augment the stock of blood held with civil hospital at Srinagar, Army said.
