JAMMU, Dec 22: The activists of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) took out candle march in support of their demands here this evening.
The party workers under the leadership of State BSP president, Tarsem Khullar assembled at Bikram Chowk and started candle march up to Ambdekar Chowk on Railway Road this evening. They pointed out that despite several representations, the State Govt has not taken the cognizance of the matter pertaining to reservation in promotions for reserved categories. They warned to intensify the struggle if the Government failed to take measures in this regard.
They alleged that Government was maintaining silence over the issue. Senior leaders R L Chalotra, Piran Ditta and R K Bhagat also spoke on the occasion.
