JAMMU, Dec 23: To celebrate victory of 1965 war against Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Golf Association is going to host day-long 1965 Golden Jubilee Golf Cup at Miran Sahib Golf Course on city outskirts here.
“J&K Golf Association is going to organise one-day 1965 Golden Jubilee Golf Cup on December 25 at Miran Sahib based Bhalol Golf Course,” Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister told reporters here this morning.       Dr Singh, who is also the chairman of organising committee said, “golfers representing three teams including Western Command, Northern Command and J&K Golf Association will participate in the competition to be inaugurated by the Governor N N Vohra.”
He said participants from Armed Forces including golfers from Punjab, Haryana, HP, Chandigarh and J&K will clash for the coveted title, adding, “the award ceremony will be held on December 25 evening at Usman Club.”
Other members of the committee included IB Singh, IGP JP Singh, Brig J S Samyal, Adeep S Mehta, vice president and Ashok Wattal, member secretary.
