JAMMU, Dec 25: A meeting of J&K Post Graduate Teachers Association (PGTA) was held under the chairmanship of Kumar Sharma, general secretary of the Association demanded early release of promotion lists of 10+2 Lecturers in Science subjects by implementing High Court’s judgement that there should be no reservation in promotion.
While addressing the meeting, Rajinder Kumar said that hundreds of posts of lecturers are lying vacant in different Higher Secondary Schools and students are suffering in far flung areas at large and urged to fill these posts without reserving for fake Degree holders.
The meeting was also attended by the Masters posted at Doda and Kishtwar districts who demanded their repatriation with suitable adjustment in their parent districts having completed more than two years of service there.
It is pertinent to mention here that more than 60% Masters allotted district Doda and Kishtwar in the year 2013 managed their premature transfers with suitable adjustment during reign of previous Government.
The association urged the Department to meet with their demands as early as possible so that teachers may not be compelled to choose agitational path.
