JKFFA celebrates birth anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh

JAMMU, Dec 26: To commemorate the 116th birth anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh, J&K Freedom Fighters’ Association (JKFFA) held a function at Dogra Shourya Sthal Ambphalla, Jammu, under the leadership of Ved Gandotra.
General secretary, Mohalla Welfare Committee, Moh-ammad Ashraf was the chief guest on the occasion.
The participants paid rich tributes to Shaheed Udham Singh. Speakers threw light on the life and supreme sacrifice of Udham Singh who was born on December 26, 1899 in Punjab and avenged Jallianwalla Bagh massacre by killing Michael O’Dwyer in March 1940. They said that the real tributes to the martyrs would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society. They exhorted youth to refrain from drugs and intoxicants.
Those who participated in the function, included  Rajiv Mahajan (State president Shri Ram Sena), Rajesh Kesari (State president Shiv Sena Hindustan), Pritam Sharma (State president Kranti Dal), Biny Mahajan, Parbhat Kapahi, Tej Ram Dogra, Rajinder Singh, Gagan Singh, Ayub Malik, Raja and Rakesh.
