SAMBA, Dec 27: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Praksh Ganga, has said that Coalition Government is working under a well-knit strategy to ensure overall development of the State with emphasis on deprived and unattended areas.
Minister stated this while addressing a series of public gatherings after kick starting and inaugurating various developments works worth Rs 1 crore in Bari Brahmana and Vijaypur.
“Focused attention is being accorded to creation of long-lasting infrastructure in all essential sectors to enhance the usefulness of public utilities”, the Minister asserted.
The Minister kick started construction work of lane in ward No -8 in Bari Brahmana worth Rs 4 lakh.
Ganga kick started construction work of 10m span RCC bridge on Smailpur-Khidian-Pati road to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh under NABARD.
During his tour to Vijaypur, the Minister inaugurated a Community Sanitary Complex constructed with Rs 2 lakh at Rahya. He also inaugurated various lanes and drains amounting cost Rs 3 lakh at village Ranjhri.
On the occasion, the locals apprised the Minister of their developmental needs including blacktopping of all internal roads and beautification of pond at Raya.
Meanwhile, the Minister kick started work on culvert at village Mudun to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 lakh. He also inaugurated lane and drain at Jakh constructed with Rs 2.80 lakh.
Later, the Minister inaugurated the lane and drain at village Gudwal in Vijaypur constructed with Rs 5 lakh.
Enumerating several initiatives of Government, the Minister exhorted upon the locals to come forward and avail the benefit of welfare schemes like Atal Bima Yojna, Ladli Beti, Aasra etc.
Highlighting the importance of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in ensuring adequate ration supply to all deserving in the state, the Minister said this is a pro-people Act envisaging coverage of maximum poor, marginalized and deprived sections of the society.
The Minister called upon the people to extend cooperation to the Government for ensuring overall development of their areas. He also informed the gathering that various new industries are coming up in the State which would directly benefit the state in terms of generating employment for the unemployed youth.
Responding to demands of the locals, the Minister announced an additional transformer for the area so that the extra load will be diverted. He also assured them for the construction of deep drain and lanes in the village.
